Available sources to data often under-represent or misrepresent peri urban areas. The earliest record of a lake in Bengaluru dates back to the 16th century when the founder of Bangalore Kempe Gowda, started constructing artificial tanks for irrigation, fishing and drinking water. Since then, the lakes have been expanded and adapted under the succeeding Mysore Kings and under British colonial rule. I explored the design of somaesthetics to mediate a body mind union for this project.
